Singla who is harassing teachers should refrain from imparting knowledge to others: Meet Hayer
Singla should explain as to why Captain did not utter a single word regarding farmers during his meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah
If helping farmers is a sin in Singla’s eyes, then ‘AAP’ will continue to commit this sin
Why did Captain, his ministers, who as ‘messiah’ of the farmers, backstabbed them; never joined the farmers’ movement
CHANDIGARH: The Aam Aadmi Party Youth Wing state president and MLA Barnala Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer on Monday, strongly condemned the statement made by Punjab Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla against AAP. In a statement issued from the party headquarters, Aman Arora said that the minister was at loggerheads with the AAP, who stands with the farmers. He said instead of listening to the unemployed teachers, Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla was torturing them and was also looking through the same lens as his Chief Minister following the guidelines of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Hayer said that today the Modi-led central government was wreaking havoc on the struggling farmers in severe cold and similarly the Punjab Education Minister could not see the unemployed teachers sitting outside his residence in the bitter cold. He said that instead of blaming the Aam Aadmi Party, the Education Minister should learn from the Delhi government how teachers are valued.
Hayer asked the Education Minister to address the problems of the unemployed teachers who had been protesting outside his house since the last 12 days before speaking against anyone and not to oppress the unemployed sons and daughters of labourers, as Modi was oppressing the farmers.”It was astonishing that those who did not know how to respect the country’s leading teachers, who are an expert in using bad language against teachers; are now working to impart knowledge. It would be good for them to have such knowledge,” he added.
He further said that ‘annadatas’ of Punjab had been fighting for their existence on roads, under the open sky, for the last several months and Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and his ministers were working for the protection of the Union Government. Arora asked whether Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla would tell that apart from playing tricks, he in fact had done something for the farmers.
Taking a dig at Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, Hayer said, “Will minister Singla explain as to why Captain Amarinder has not sought time from Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the matter of farmers till date? Will Singla also explain why Captain did not say a word about the farmers’ demand when he met Union Home Minister Amit Shah? What was the deal done with Amit Shah by Captain, who after meeting him expedited the process of filing cases against farmers in Punjab?”
Hayer further said that if Education Minister Singla finds the work done by Aam Aadmi Party for the farmers a crime, then ‘AAP’ will continue to commit such crime. He said that farmers were our benefactors and it was our duty to stand by them in times of trouble. He further questioned Captain Amarinder and his ministers as to why none of them, who pretended to be ‘messiahs’ of the farmers and backstabbed them, had ever joined the farmers’ movement.
Captain Amarinder and his ministers were pretending to be farmer friendly and the Captain-led state government was as much responsible for the anti-farmers agriculture black laws , which according to the farmers are ‘death warrants’, as the Modi government at the centre and the Badal Dal. He said that Captain had signed the draft of these black laws and agreed to the death warrants of the farmers.
