ACTION PUNJAB NEWS Desk: An Indian politician, President of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen and 4 time Member of Parliament Asaduddin Salahuddin Owaisi gives relationship advice.

Speaking at a party gathering, as shown in a video shared by Owaisi emphasised the importance of men treating their wives with kindness. He reiterated this point, mentioning that it might have unsettled some individuals. Owaisi clarified that the Quran does not prescribe specific domestic duties for wives, such as washing clothes or cooking for their husbands.

He pointed out that the Quran, in fact, states that husbands have no entitlement to their wives’ earnings. On the contrary, it acknowledges the wife’s right to the husband’s earnings, as she is responsible for managing the household.

He added, “Many criticise their wives for not cooking or find faults in their cooking, he said. “My brothers, this is Islam. It is not (written anywhere). And then there are those who are cruel to their wives, who hit them. If you are true followers of the Prophet, tell me where he has laid his hands on a woman,” he said.

During a party gathering, the AIMIM leader shared an incident involving a man named Rasul who approached the influential caliph Farooq-e-Azam with a complaint about his angry wife. Upon reaching Farooq-e-Azam’s home, Rasul discovered that Farooq-e-Azam’s wife was scolding him as well. When Rasul mentioned his own grievance, Farooq-e-Azam explained that his wife, who safeguards the honor of their home and cares for their children, is human, and when she speaks in anger, he listens. The AIMIM leader encouraged the audience to adopt a similar mindset of understanding and respect in their own relationships.

AIMIM leader further highlighted that men get time with their friends, they come home in late hours, leaving their wives and mothers waiting at home. He urged his audience to empathise with such situations, saying, “Try to understand these aspects, my brothers.”
