Himachal Landslide: Himachal Pradesh finds itself grappling with the aftermath of an onslaught of heavy snowfall, landslides and bone-chilling cold wave which resulted in a road closures, including five national highways, disrupting vehicular movement across the state.
The Indian Meteorological Department also issued orange alert for snowfall across Himachal Pradesh issued by the local weather office on Saturday evening has been changed to yellow warning of thunderstorms, lightning and hail storm with heavy snow at isolated places.
On Tuesday morning, bodies of two people – Rakesh (31) and Rajesh (40), both natives of Bihar was recovered from the rubble after a landslide hit the Ashwani Khad area in Shimla.

The bodies recovered at around 6:15 am.
As per the sources, the deceased were labourers and were sleeping in makeshift huts near a stone crusher when the tragedy struck.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Shimla, Anupam Kashyap, took stock of the situation of the landslide incident on Mehli-Junga road.
A search operation is underway at the site of incident.
