    Temperature to surge in north India, light rain expected in UP | ActionPunjab

    ACTION PUNJAB NEWS Desk: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts a surge in temperature across various northern regions, offering relief from the freezing conditions. Additionally, light rain is anticipated in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

    According to the latest weather bulletin, Delhi is expected to have a clear sky with mist in the morning on Sunday. On Saturday, the capital city recorded a minimum temperature of 5.2 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 23.6 degrees Celsius. However, temperatures in Delhi are projected to rise by at least two notches on Sunday.

    The IMD predicts a 3-5 degree increase in minimum temperatures over the next five days in northwest, east, central, and west India. Apart from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, the IMD forecasts light rain in parts of Jharkhand and West Bengal from February 12 to 14.


    Furthermore, the weather department anticipates light-intensity thunderstorms with lightning over regions of Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Chhattisgarh on Sunday and Monday (February 12), and in Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal between February 13 and 14.

    In the southern region, isolated rainfall is expected in Telangana on Sunday. Cold wave conditions persisted on Saturday in parts of Rajasthan, Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal.

    The highest maximum temperature recorded on Saturday was 38.1 degrees Celsius in Kannur, Kerala.
