2024 Lok Sabha polls: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Sunday that the BJP is confident of winning more than 370 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, and opposition leaders in Parliament agree.
Addressing a public meeting of tribal community members in Madhya Pradesh’s Jhabua district, PM Modi urged voters to ensure that an additional 370 votes were cast in each booth compared to the previous election in order for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to win 370 of the 543 Lok Sabha seats.
Even members of the opposition in Parliament are now saying “abki baar 400 paar” for the (BJP-led) National Democratic Alliance (NDA), he stated
“I am confident that the BJP’s lotus symbol will definitely cross the 370 mark on its own.” The Prime Minister stated that he has come to Jhabua as the “sevak” to thank the people for their overwhelming support in the recent assembly elections, rather than to campaign for the Lok Sabha elections.
The BJP recently won landslide victories in assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh.
“Our ‘double engine’ government is working with double speed in Madhya Pradesh,” he said, referring to the ₹ 7,550 crore development projects he launched before speaking at the meeting.
PM Modi accused the opposition Congress of ignoring the poor, farmers, and tribals for long. “The Congress remembers villages, the poor and farmers only during elections,” he said.
