Delhi Liquor Policy Case: A Delhi court granted senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia three-day interim bail to attend his niece’s wedding after he was arrested in the alleged excise policy “scam.”
Special judge MK Nagpal granted Manish Sisodia relief from February 13 to 15 in the corruption and money laundering cases being investigated by the CBI and ED, respectively.
On February 26, 2023, the CBI arrested the former deputy chief minister for alleged corruption in the formulation and implementation of the now-scrapped Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22.
Following his arrest by the CBI, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) apprehended him on March 9 from Tihar jail in a money laundering case.
