Rameshwaram Cafe Case: The team probing last week’s blast at the Bengaluru’s ‘The Rameshwaram Cafe’ has “good leads,” Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara said on Thursday, adding that the main suspect changed his clothes and travelled by bus.

He stated that the suspect is believed to have taken a bus to Tumakuru, the district headquarters town, following the explosion, and that officials are following leads and verifying his movement until Ballari.

The National Investigation Agency is conducting an investigation into the IED blast at the quick-service eatery in the Brookfield area of the information technology corridor in east Bengaluru, which injured ten people. The Central Crime Branch of the Bengaluru police is assisting with the investigation.

“We have more important leads as to where he (the suspect) has gone. Certain information cannot be revealed. We’ve gotten some good leads in the last few days. I believe he will be arrested soon,” Parameshwara told reporters.

“It is known that he travelled by bus, and officials are following up on those leads. They have important leads,” he said, adding that there is evidence that the suspect travelled to Tumakuru by bus, which officials are investigating.

Meanwhile, new video footage has emerged of the suspect moving in the bus while carrying a backpack and wearing a full-sleeved shirt, cap, facemask and spectacles. According to the video, the suspect moved in a direction where the camera was not covering him.
