PTC Web Desk: Venkataramana Pittala, a 27-year-old student hailing from Telangana, tragically lost his life in a jet ski collision while in the US state of Florida. He was enrolled in a Master’s Degree programme at Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI).
The incident occurred on March 9, just a few months before enkataramana Pittala was set to graduate in May. A GoFundMe page was established to assist in repatriating his remains to his family in Telangana. It is learnt that the collision between two jet skis led to his untimely demise.
Reports from Miami-based WPLG Local 10 news channel revealed that the accident took place near a waterpark in the island city of Key West. According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, a 14-year-old boy was operating one of the jet skis involved in the collision. The Commission clarified that no arrests were made and that the boy did not sustain any injuries in the accident.
