Congress reshuffle: Devender Yadav has been appointed Congress General Secretary in charge of Punjab on Saturday. Sachin Pilot has been named Congress General Secretary in-charge of Chhattisgarh, and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has been relieved of her duties as UP Congress in-charge.

The major reshuffle in the Congress organisation comes after five state assembly elections and ahead of the crucial Lok Sabha election in 2024. 

On Saturday, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge signed a statement reshuffling state duties.

Mukul Wasnik has Gujarat, Jitendra Singh has Assam and Madhya Pradesh, and Randeep Singh Surjewala has Madhya Pradesh. Dipak Babaria of Delhi and Haryana, Avinash Pande of Uttar Pradesh, and Kumari Selja of Uttarakhand.
