ACTION PUNJAB NEWS Desk: Farmers’ protest march to Delhi will be led by tractors modified to remove barricades and boulders on February 13.

Central intelligence agencies have informed the police in Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Delhi about the mass movement of farmers. More than 25,000 farmers and 5000 tractors will depart from various districts of Punjab and Haryana on Monday, arriving in Delhi on Tuesday.

“Tractors have been equipped with hydraulic tools to remove barricades and fire-resistant hard-shell trailers are being prepared to combat tear gas shells. They’ve also done drills with these modified vehicles,” said an official.

According to the official, the machines’ horsepower is being doubled in order to transport as many protesters as possible to the site.

Previously, police had blocked the road with sand-laden dumpers, massive concrete blocks, and containers to prevent protesters from reaching Delhi, but farmers crossed the border.

According to the report, police and paramilitary forces should prepare to counterattack with swords and sticks.

On Saturday, the Haryana government, led by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, announced the suspension of mobile internet, bulk SMS, and all dongle services in several districts until February 13, when farmers are expected to march to Delhi to press for a number of demands.
