A video of the incident went viral on social media, sparking a debate.
According to media reports, a man booked a Rapido ride and halfway through the trip, the rider informed the passenger that his scooter was running low on fuel and would stop at any moment.
Despite several requests, the passenger refused to get down, forcing the Rapido rider to look for other options.
The rider resorted to pushing the vehicle to the nearest petrol pump while the passenger sat on it.
The unusual incident was caught on camera by a fellow commuter. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media.
In the video, the rider uses all of his strength to push the vehicle while his customer sits in the pillion seat. Many users condemned the incident and expressed sympathy for the rider.
