    Woman software engineer faces ‘extreme torture’ at hands of classmate who undergoes gender transition to marry her | Action Punjab


     

    Chennai, December 25: Just a day before her birthday, a 24-year-old software engineer from Tamil Nadu was allegedly burnt alive before beng chained and cut by her former classmate who had undergone gender transition in order to marry her, said the police. 

    The incident came to light in Thalambur near Kelambakkam, a southern suburb of Chennai. According to the police Vetrimaran (26), alias Pandiya Maheswari, blindfolded R Nandhini (24) in order to give her a surprise on her birthday, but later allegedly subjected her to an unimaginable ordeal.

    The victim belonged to Madurai and was a software engineer. She had been residing with relatives in Chennai. Vetrimaran had changed his name from Pandiya Maheswari and lured Nandhini into his deadly trap on the pretext of celebrating her birthday.

     
    As per information, both studied together in Madurai. However, Nandhini continued the friendship even after Vetrimaran underwent gender transition procedure. They also worked at a same private IT firm in Thoraipakkam. 

    The police suspeced that Vetrimaran  took the extreme step as he had suspicion that Nandhini had developed an interest in others.
    Further investigations are underway.
