ACTION PUNJAB NEWS Desk: In a harrowing incident captured on a 27-second CCTV footage, a police officer in Punjab’s Jalandhar was critically injured after being struck by a speeding car near a checkpoint. The high-tech check post, located on the Sutlej river in the Shahkot area, became the scene of the shocking event.
The footage reveals the speeding car approaching the checkpoint from Moga Road, where the policeman on duty signaled the driver to stop.

However, instead of complying, the driver accelerated, colliding with the officer. The impact propelled the policeman into the air, and he crashed onto the road divider. Following the collision, the driver fled the scene, leaving the injured officer in critical condition. Authorities have initiated a search to locate the driver responsible for the hit-and-run.
