Flight operations at Delhi airport restricted from Jan 19 to 26 | Action Punjab

ACTION PUNJAB NEWS Desk: Flight operations at the Delhi airport will face restrictions from January 19 to 26 in light of Republic Day preparations, with a hiatus scheduled between 10:20 am and 12:45 pm daily during this period.

According to a notice issued under NOTAM (Notice to Airmen), the Delhi airport authorities announced that there will be a suspension of flight arrivals and departures for 2 hours and 15 minutes each day from January 19 to 26, aligning with the Republic Day arrangements.

In a statement posted on X, the Delhi airport highlighted the impact of these restrictions on aviation activities during the specified timeframe. The move is part of the broader measures taken to ensure the smooth execution of Republic Day events and preparations.

Additionally, there are indications of potential airspace restrictions at the Delhi airport from January 19 to 25, along with specific dates on January 26 and 29. Officials, as reported by news agency ANI on January 16, clarified that these restrictions would not affect the operations of the Indian Air Force (IAF), Border Security Force (BSF), and Indian Army helicopter activities. Furthermore, state-owned aircraft and helicopters carrying the Governor or Chief Ministers of a state will also be exempt from these restrictions.
