ACTION PUNJAB NEWS Desk: French President Emmanuel Macron added a cultural touch to his visit by paying a visit to the historic Dargah Nizamuddin Aulia in Delhi on Friday evening. The distinguished guest, who served as the chief guest at the 75th Republic Day celebrations held at Delhi’s Kartavya Path, immersed himself in the rich heritage of Sufi culture.
President Macron arrived at the nearly 700-year-old shrine at 9:45 pm and spent over half an hour at the sacred site, which serves as the nerve centre of Sufi culture in India. The Dargah Nizamuddin Aulia is the mausoleum of the renowned Sufi saint Nizamuddin Auliya and his disciple Amir Khusrau.

Earlier in the day, President Macron was warmly welcomed by President Droupadi Murmu at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. In his honor, a banquet was hosted, marking a significant moment in the diplomatic relations between France and India. President Murmu highlighted the historic nature of the leaders from both nations being guests of honor at each other’s National Day parades and celebrations, symbolizing the profound friendship and robust partnership between the two countries.
