ACTION PUNJAB NEWS Desk: As the 69th edition of the prestigious Filmfare Awards gears up in Gujarat on January 27 and 28, Bollywood luminaries were captured at Mumbai airport en route to Ahmedabad for the grand event. The curtain raiser unfolded on Saturday night, with the main awards ceremony slated for Sunday night.
Paparazzi lenses captured glamorous arrivals, including the Kapoor sisters, Kareena and Karisma, the versatile Varun Dhawan, and the acclaimed director of “Animal,” Sandeep Reddy Vanga. This star-studded departure preceded a press conference earlier this month attended by industry stalwarts Karan Johar, Varun Dhawan, and Janhvi Kapoor.
The Curtain Raiser event in Gujarat on Saturday night saw winners in technical categories announced, encompassing cinematography, screenplay, costumes, and editing. “Sam Bahadur” clinched victory in three technical categories, securing Best Sound Design, Best Costume Design, and Best Production Design. Ganesh Acharya received the Best Choreography Award for “What Jhumka?” from “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani,” while “12th Fail” secured the trophy for Best Editing. SRK’s “Jawan” triumphed in the categories of Best Special Effects (visual) and Best Action.
