ACTION PUNJAB NEWS Desk: In a tragic turn of events, an IT professional, Vandana Dwivedi, was allegedly shot dead by her boyfriend, Rishabh Nigam, at the Oyo Town House Hotel in Pune’s Hinjawadi area on Saturday. The incident came to light through CCTV footage from the hotel, showing Rishabh leaving the hotel room after the alleged shooting.
Police swiftly arrested Rishabh Nigam in Mumbai following the incident. Vandana Dwivedi, employed at a reputed IT firm in Hinjawadi, and Rishabh, a resident of Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow, had been in a relationship for the past ten years. They had booked the hotel in Hinjawadi and were staying there since January 25.
According to police sources, Rishabh had arrived in Pune with the intention of killing Vandana, fueled by suspicions about her character. The CCTV footage indicated Rishabh leaving the hotel room around 10 pm on Saturday, presumably after the shooting.

After the alleged murder, Rishabh fled to Mumbai, where authorities apprehended him. Police have sealed the hotel room for investigation and are looking into how Rishabh acquired the gun used in the incident. The tragic incident has shocked the community, highlighting the complexities surrounding relationships and personal conflicts.
