On February 2, news circulated about demise of Bollywood actress Poonam Pandey due to cervical cancer which also sheds light on the importance of awareness and initiatives to combat this life-threatening disease.

The news broke through a post on her official Instagram account on Friday morning, where her team announced her passing and cited cervical cancer as the cause. 

Contrary to the earlier report, it has now been disclosed on February 3 that Poonam is well and in good health.

Pandey is known for her bold photos and videos. She made her acting debut with the film ‘Nasha’ in 2013. She also appeared in Kangana Ranaut’s reality show ‘Lock Upp’.

The actress gained prominence after making a bold promise in a video message before the 2011 Cricket World Cup final. She had pledged to strip if India emerged victorious in the final match, creating significant attention and publicity.
