The day was founded by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) to mobilize global action against cancer.

    World Cancer Day happens every year on 4 February. This year’s World Cancer Day will take place on a Sunday. 

    World Cancer Day 2024: Theme 

    The 2022-2024 World Cancer Day theme is: ‘Close the Care Gap’. The first year of the campaign was all about understanding and recognising the inequities in cancer care across the globe.
