    1 dead as building collapses in Delhi’s Kotla Mubarakpur area; many feared buried | Action Punjab


    A wall of a house collapsed in the national capital, killing one person and injuring another, Delhi police said Wednesday.

    Authorities have begun a rescue operation as some people are feared to be “buried under debris”.

    The incident occurred around 5 p.m. today in Kotla Mubarakpur on Gurudwara Road.

    Seven fire tenders were dispatched to the scene after receiving information.

    Police said at around 5 p.m., they received information about the collapse of a building on Gurudwara Road.

    “Upon arrival, it was discovered that while pulling down, a wall from the first floor of a house collapsed, killing Vinay (32) on the spot. While Nathu (30) sustained injuries, Anand, who went to get tea, was fortunate to escape,” police said.
