ACTION PUNJAB NEWS Desk: A fatal incident occurred at Greater Noida’s Blue Sapphire Mall, claiming the lives of two individuals as a steel structure collapsed and fell on them. The victims, identified as 35-year-old Harendra Bhati and Shakeel, also 35, tragically lost their lives in the mishap.
The incident sparked chaos and panic among mall visitors as a ceiling grille unexpectedly plummeted into the lobby. Senior police officers and personnel swiftly responded to the scene to manage the situation.
According to Additional DCP Hridesh Kathariya, the iron grille, used for fencing purposes, fell from the fifth floor of the mall, fatally striking the victims who were on their way to the escalator. An investigation into the cause of the collapse is currently underway.

Video footage of the incident captures the aftermath, with debris scattered near the escalators and rescuers attending to the victims amidst a crowd of onlookers. The bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem examination.
Authorities are diligently addressing the situation, and necessary legal actions are being taken as senior officials continue to oversee the response efforts at the site of the tragedy.
