New Delhi, March 4: Several prominent leaders from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Transport and Highway Minister Nitin Gadkari, Tarun Chugh and JP Nadda, made a notable change to their names on the X platform on Monday. The alteration saw them adopting the designation ‘Modi ka Parivar’ (Modi’s family).
This strategic move follows Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent speech in Telangana, where he expressed, “140 crore countrymen are my family. Today, crores of daughters, mothers, and sisters of the country are Modi’s family. Every poor person in the country is my family. Those who have no one, they also belong to Modi, and Modi belongs to them. My India-My family, with the expansion of these feelings, I am living for you, fighting for you, and will continue to fight for you, to fulfill my dreams with determination.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s articulation of ‘Modi ka Parivar’ was a direct response to the remarks made by RJD leader Lalu Yadav on Sunday. PM Modi countered, stating, “The entire country is saying that they are part of Modi’s family,” adding that even those who feel alone are embraced by his inclusive vision.
This move echoes the ‘Main Bhi Chowkidar’ campaign that was launched on the X platform (formerly Twitter) in 2019, leading up to the Lok Sabha elections. In a concerted effort, BJP leaders have now appended “Modi ka Parivaar” in Hindi to their names on the X platform, aligning themselves with the Prime Minister’s vision of a collective national family.
