ACTION PUNJAB NEWS Desk: A disturbing video allegedly depicting the murder of Sikh leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar has surfaced, shedding light on the tragic incident. Reports suggest that Nijjar was fatally shot on the evening of June 18, 2023, as he exited a Gurdwara in Surrey, British Columbia.
The video, described as a ‘contract killing’ by Canada-based CBC, reportedly shows Nijjar being targeted by armed individuals in a highly coordinated attack. Obtained by the Fifth Estate and corroborated by multiple sources, the footage reveals a chilling account of the incident involving six assailants and two vehicles.

Following Nijjar’s apparent assassination, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had insinuated the involvement of the Indian government, straining diplomatic relations between Canada and India. However, India promptly refuted these claims.
Eyewitness testimonies provided crucial insights into the attack. Two witnesses, who were playing football nearby, recounted hearing gunshots and rushing to the scene. Bhupinderjit Singh Sidhu and Malkit Singh attempted to intervene but were unable to save Nijjar, who succumbed to his injuries.

Malkit Singh pursued the assailants as they fled the scene, eventually boarding a Toyota Camry with three other individuals. Despite extensive investigations, including by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), no suspects have been named or arrests made in connection with Nijjar’s murder.
The incident has fueled a diplomatic dispute between India and Canada, with Trudeau’s accusations of Indian involvement in the assassination further straining bilateral relations. However, India has vehemently denied any involvement, dismissing the allegations as baseless and politically motivated. The lack of evidence presented by Canada has only served to deepen the diplomatic standoff.
