Mithun Chakraborty hospitalised: Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty has been hospitalised in Kolkata after he reportedly complained of chest pain on Saturday.
Reportedly, the 73-year-old actor reportedly expressed uneasiness on his return home from a film shoot. Following this he was rushed immediately to the hospital and is undergoing treatment there.

Chakraborty was recently named one of the Padma Bhushan Awardees for 2024.
The actor, fondly known as Mithun Da by his fans, began his career with the Mrinal Sen-directed film ‘Mrigayaa’, which earned him the National Film Award for Best Actor. ‘Disco Dancer’, ‘Agneepath’, ‘Ghar Ek Mandir’, ‘Jallad’, and ‘Pyaar Jhukta Nahin’ are among his other successful films.
On March 7, 2021, Chakraborty joined the BJP at Kolkata’s historic Brigade Parade Ground, also known as the “Maidan”.
